3a4b arises from the accumulated experience of more than 20 years of work in the vectors of sustainable development, Agenda 2030, corporate social responsibility, business management and change management.

Isabel Garro

Isabel Garro is a founding partner and CEO of 3a4b. She has dedicated almost all of her professional life to understanding the vectors of change in sustainable development. She was Special Advisor to the High Commissioner for Agenda 2030 of the Spanish government and Director General of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact for more than a decade. She began her career in the financial advisory and auditing sector. Currently, she is a strategy advisor at Planner Media, coordinator and associate professor of the Master’s Degree in Competitive Social Transformation at the Complutense University of Madrid and at IE Business School.

Graduated in Business Administration from Universidad Pontifica Comillas ICADE (E2), she holds a double MBA degree from Brown University and IE Business School. In addition, she has completed various postgraduate courses at the Harvard Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, IESE and the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

She has been the representative of the Spanish government before the Council of the European Union, president of the LNAG of UN Global Compact, member of the Advisory Council of UN Global Compact, which is chaired by the Secretary General of the United Nations, member of the Advisory Committee of Transparency International and advisor to the Ethics Committee of Auchan Spain. In addition, Isabel led private sector participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 25) and helped raise a quarter of its budget. She participated in the development of the CERSE, in the drafting of the National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights and was a member of the Advisory Council for the drafting of ISO 26.000.

A national and international reference in Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development, she has published numerous articles related to sustainable development, Agenda 2030 and corporate social responsibility and has been quoted and interviewed in numerous publications and media as an expert (RTVE, UN TV, El País, El Mundo, ABC, La Razón, La Vanguardia, Expansión, Cinco Días, etc.)
